singing a song for my dad the day before he died. i was four then, and i thought he was just gonna be amputated, around two days after, i just found out that he's already dead. my rellies constantly told me that if i sing, he would get well. i had absolutely no idea!

that was good though cos at least i got to do "something" for me dad, and i know that he was happy.

Mine is really a lot of memories bundled into one; my grandparents had a cabin on a lake in Washington and my family would go up there several times every summer. I brought my best friend a few times, and when I was older, I'd just drive up there all by myself for some peace when I was having a bad day; I'd take a Saturday or Sunday and just go up there with some food, something to read, and something to write in. It's still one of my favorite places, and although I've moved all the way to Florida, I hope to go back up there someday and buy my own little piece of nature on the lake :)

When I was 15

My earliest memory is also one of my favourites.

I remember having this dream that a six-armed, Krishna-like monster was in the trophy cabinet of my Uncle Bill and Aunt Paddy's house. I woke up and tried to get my mother to drive round to theirs, but she told me it was just a nightmare and to go back to bed.

I couldn't do it. I snuck out of the house and tried to run to Bill and Paddy's house. I was three years old at the time and their house was over two miles away. After a few lefts and rights, I realised I had absolutely no idea how to get to their house. I also realised that I was lost.

Thankfully, my mum had realised I was missing, put two and two together, and sent out the neighbours to find me. They did and they drove me back home where my mum was waiting.

I thought she was going to be really angry but she just sat me down and carefully explained to me the importance of telling her when I was leaving the house, that there were no such things as monsters, and that Bill and Paddy didn't have a trophy cabinet.

How hard my mom worked to do the little things for us. Always putting others first. She was the best.

She's been in heaven for 12 years.

Don't let YOUR mom go without making sure you love and appreciate her.

Mom's are the best.

Sunday dinners. We always had an awesome dinner on Sunday's after church, and played ball in the yard. Oh... what I would give to have those good ole days again. Good Luck!
