LOL I'd say so. Here one earth, only Terrell Owens would expect the same of us.

God created us in his own image and wants us to be like him that is modest and humble. God as we call the universal power is manifest in us but we are generally ignorant of its existence.
He speaks as our conscience always on the right side. When we take his guidance we become happy. So we thank him for his guidance which made us happy When you say Thank you to any one who just gives way to you, why can't you thank god who is all powerful yet listens to us?can you find another one like him? Even a mother will chide saying "i am busy now you ask me some other time"but God irrespective of time and place is ready to listen and assist you. It is only when you sincerely seek his assistance he intervenes other wise not. Even when you accuse him of double standard he just smiles and says "sorry my child
i never asked you to praise me"It is out of gratitude we praise him. If you never want god for any thing you need never praise him and he will not be annoyed.

Yes, in a way. *BUT*, is it a double standard for a man to walk into a pottery store, look at a stoneware vase, and then praise the potter for his skilled work, yet say nothing to the vase itself? Yes, in the same way. The vase may hold flowers, but only through the hard work of the potter, does the vase have the ability to do so.

The thing is, in light of God, our deeds are nothing compared to His deeds.

Think of this : How arrogant would it be for a student to praise his own artwork, yet ignore his teacher's art, knowing full well, that his art is stick-figures and his master is Leonardo Da Vinci? How arrogant would it be for a young scientist who discovers that a potato in salt water can power a light bulb, and fail to give credit to his teacher, Albert Einstein? How arrogant would it be for a child to sing out in the streets that he is the richest person on the block (since he found a quarter lying in the street), yet his parents bought the very house he lives in?

You see... helping an old woman across the street is a good deed... but is it really *that* good, knowing full well that God is the one who gave you the strength to help her across, and her the willpower to want to walk across? Giving someone a tissue when they have something stuck in there eye is a good deed, yet, is it really that good, knowing that God has made blind people see, or for that matter, made the eye itself?

There is nothing praiseworthy about mankind, in comparison to God. And for that, He deserves glorification, not us.

When you begin to know God, you will want to be modest and humble. And it will be your utmost pleasure to revere, adore and praise Him.
No one asks you to do such things before you realize the way He actually loves you.
