For a party lifestyle, I'd say about USD 3,000/month. That's in Metro Manila....that should allow you to rent a home in a relatively good neighborhood, pay for maids, driver, utilities make monthly payments on a new car and have enough left over to dine out and party every night of the week.

It should be cheaper if you go for a beach bum party lifestyle in the provinces...Without the regular partying....it's easy to get by with even 750 a month anywhere in the Philippines.

Usd 1000 is enough even in Metro Manila but it will go a long way if it is in the province like Palawan or Cebu. Here is a sample computation:
Usd 1000 = Php 50000

1. Home/house - you may rent a studio type condo at Cityland for Php 8000 - 10000 depending on the location. The best thing about condo is that they are accessible to most party place. You may also get a decent apartment with that amount.

2. Car - there are a lot of taxi/public transport here so it will not be a problem. A Php 200 - 400 budget for a taxi everyday is more than enough. (30days x 400 = 12000)

3. The remaining Php 28000+++ for patrying. Wow! You can go out and party everynight with that amount. You can have Breakfast, lunch and dinner in cozy Restaurants Bars or Coffee Shops here. You only need a minimum of Php 200 or less per meal. By the way a lot of Restaurant/bar here has a band or Good Singers playing songs while the customers are eating some of them even have a dance floor or video-ok where you can dance or sing.

It is impossible to live a United States lifestyle, with any amount of money. This is a third word country and you can not buy decent housing or decent food at any price. I live in a dump and hear loud, vulgar music blasting me all night and smell burning garbage every time i step out of my house and i spend about 4000 US Dollars a month. You can lock your self in a gated subdivision and pay 2000 USD a month for rent, but it is still going to be Filipino style.
Right now I would pay 200 USD for a decent steak, with a baked potatoe. But it is just not here.

depends on where you party: Makati is expensive. You may need 2 cars because during weekday rush hours you have to alternate odd and even plate numbers. Metered Taxi is relatively cheap about 20% of what you would pay in the USA. Local Restaurants and alcoholic drinks are a great deal.

In Manila 3,000 USD would be OK depending on the extent of the "partying." In some of the Provinces you might have trouble actually spending 1,000.
