Click on the forgot password link beside the sign in button. Yahoo will ask for your personal details, the ones you provided when you created the ID. This is to keep you friends away from your password. Now I guess you remember the details and enter them correctly, you will be directed to another page where you will be asked the password recovery question that you provided while creating your ID. This is the barrier that prevents your best friends from hacking your ID, those who know your birthdays and stuff. Once you enter everything correctly, Yahoo gives you another password. You can easily change this password after logging into your ID.
