yay, yes,and yes . my brothers and I used to argue over whose turn it is to get the end crusts. I still love a freshly baked slice , even by itself. the really crusty breads ,like garlic are heavenly. I love pumpkin and sesame seed bread and could pick at the crusts all day.
half the joy of eating is the texture , and the crust just does it for me. teething babies ,can be given toasted slices with marmite on , and the crust would be strong enough to with hold minutes of enjoyable sucking.
o.k have I discussed enough ?

I prefer pre-cut bread, as they have soft crusts. I never eat the "big crusts", but I live by an old dock, so I throw them to the ducks everytime.
Soft crust: Yay
Hard crust: Nay.

I don't like the crusts, but the new bread from Kingsmill - without crusts - is a stupid idea! If you make bread without crusts, the non-crusty part will just become crusty, and you'll end up having to cut that bit off and you'll end up with less bread! Plus it's more expensive!!

yaaay we love crusts.. i always eat all the crust first and then eat my butty. but the big crust at the end of the loaf is a no go.. we always have to save that for my dad to eat on a friday to dip into his curry!?! why do we have these stupid house rules. me and my brother used to play dares and once i made him eat the crust and my dad was not impressed when friday came round, he had to use an ordinary slice tehe. also did your mum used to tell you that if you ate your crust that it would make your hair curly? myn did or was that because i used to want curly hair? they are a weird species are mothers all they do is ly for some reason

Only like crusty hot French type bread, sliced bread crusts are rubbery and awful, I throw them away. When I was at boarding school they used to make sandwiches for netball matches when the visiting schools came and they cut off the crusts. Then we got them for tea piled up on a tray with just a little bit of fish paste or jam on the edge, this was a big treat for us!

On square, sliced bread, i love the end crust toasted with butter and marmite!
However, on the baggette type bread, I remove the spongy white part and just eat the hard, outer crust with my favourite cheese!

Nay to crusts and Nay to ends...
I am one of those really sad people who still cut the crusts off my sandwich.
You know they even have crustless bread now, for people like me ;-)

Of course the crust is the best part of the bread. Ah, when you get it first thing in the morning, hot and smelling heavenly!
