Read, read, read. Absorb spelling, punctuation, grammar naturally as you do so. Think about what you are reading and what makes it satisfying to read. Then think about what you want to write yourself and how you can make it interesting to the reader. To write anything well, you must have something to say in the first place. You need to have a good opening sentence and a coherent conclusion and hold the reader's interest throughout. See how other writers have achieved this and follow suit until you can emerge as having an individual style of your own.

Break the question down into sections and address each point mentioned. Begin with a very brief point outlining your aims and then give arguements for and against before making a conclusion. Quote and then comment but do not drown the essay with too many quotes.
