I said I am sorry and I got over it
Then my boyfriend started at me and we had a fight as people do Now he is trying to suck up but I want him to leave me alone for the night by sleeping in the spare room
how do I put it to him to sleep in there or should I go

What do you think?

This is a hint Cheyne or shay as you call your self here, take it

It is Cheyne here and would like you to come out to the dinning room
I have just cooked a wonderful home cooked meal
ok yes it is only scambled eggs on toast
but we don't have any food in the house and your the chef
but i would like to say i am sorry but i'm eating alone tonight
good night, The spare room is nicer anyway
but i will give you only three minutes to make me change my mind
I have made enough for two.

We never sleep in another room, even if we've been fighting. We try not to go to bed angry & at least show that we don't have to be at each others throats even though we're not getting along as well as we'd like. Having the person sleep in another room or kicking them out of the house for the night solves nothing & just creates bad feeling between you.

The first answer is the best and cannot be improved upon

- Don't sleep on a fight -

Different rooms cause resentment and harboring of feelings as its just you proving what could be considered a vindictive point which lets you down. Take answer one

Honestly, we never fight that much...after 20 years the only time one of will use the 2nd bedroom is when 1 of us is sick...and then someone usually ends up crawling into 1 of the beds in the middle of the night anyway...Old habits die hard LOL.

.i will never make my partner or myself sleep in another room. In previous times if i was at fault during the night i would move closer to her and put my arm around her. We'd say sorry and talked about what happened and go back to sleep in each others arms

I don't ever sleep on a row, myself and my partner always sort it out there and then, otherwise it doesn't get sorted and comes back to haunt you in later arguements. Just sort it out and stop being so childish about it, what is sleeping in different rooms going to gain..... teach him a lesson I suppose, well you're not each others parents, so work it out!!!

I've been with my partner for 31 years.

We have made it a point to never go to bed angry at each other.

If we can't work out an argument, we don't go to sleep.

It's worked this many years!

(If I wanted to sleep alone, I'd be single!)

If you really want to sleep seperate from your bf, then you go to the other room yourself... I think the reason that he wanted to stay in your room is that he want you to stay there too and just wanted to forget that your fighting.
