what are the top toys to buy for kids this year

Try to get something that is useful and practical for them. Not something they will only play with for a week and then forget.
Try not to overspend...maybe a few small toys and maybe some books or an art set.

Their are some websites that list what they believe to be the top toys. Looks like Elmo tmx will be to hard to find but I personally like the sing & spin pablo as an alternative.

How old are the kids? For very young children I'd suggest the new tickle me elmo if you can find one, for older kids I'd go with xbox 360.
