I've been a hardcore F1 fan for the past 7 years but can only seem to find a handfull of ppl here who shares the same interest. Strange being that F1 is the 2nd most popular sport in the world behind only to soccer...

I have been watching F1 seriously since 1996, when I was 5 years old. I was a Schumacher fan until he and his team pulled off the most disgusting maneuver in F1, in Austria in 2002; then I liked Fernando Alonso ever since his first win and became a Renault fan once I saw how well he could keep Schumacher at bay.
I am really disgusted that some arrogant people like Mosley and Todt want to give a retirement present to MS he doesn't deserve. This championship is deserved by Fernando and Renault, even Bernie Ecclestone is starting to see this.
I even wrote an article about why this year's championship is "fixed", starting from the fact that the first one to protest to this was Flavio Briatore, who was only silenced by Mafia-like threats.

No wonder Ferrari is Italian, that's where the Mafia's origins are.

Hey I love it dude. I am an F1 freak. You don't know how freak I'm, you know I have put a giant F1 wallposter in my bedroom so that I can see it as soon as I open my eyes in the morning, I have put a F1 logo every where on my bike, I have all F1 collectibles the 1:18 scale car, the McLean Key chains, you name it i have it. You can say I have gone beyond any F1 fan can ever go. Try me I can share some interest.

Dude if I start freaking anything about F1,I will never stop, becoz of this my friends are a bit afraid to talk anything about F1 in front of me.

This is the first year that I have been watching F1 and now that the season is coming to a close I have a few observations to share. There is too long of a break in between most races. I'm very impressed with the cars from a technological standpoint. The drivers seem pompous and aloof. The circuits are varied and magnificent. The rules are confusing and not at all consistant. There seem to be only the same few drivers that have a chance of winning. I'll miss it when the seasons over.

I have been watching F1 for 20 years now, and up until this season I have loved every minute of it - even when my team or driver haven't been winning. But it's been bastardised by the FIA this season to give Schumacher a big retirement present.

But I will still watch, I will still Support the Williams Team and the British Drivers (plus any drivers that I like the style of), and next season, I'll get all excited about the car launches and the races as I do every year!

It's strange to me to, but I think that is because there are only three teams and four or five drivers that are really good, so basically is not much to talk about!!!! It's hard to became an ''expert'' in F1, because the car is very complicated and people don't know much about it ( I don't), not like team sports when all you have to know is how to throw or kick a ball and you have hundreds of teams and players to talk about it !!!

I think next season will be very interesting with Alonso/McLaren and Kimi/Ferrari battling for the crown and I hope that will be tie at the end of the season just like this one is!!!

Yeah, I remember all the kids looking at me funny when I was excited that Jody Scheckter won the world championship. I was in 3rd grade. Still a nerd...but an F1 nerd. I watch every race and I try to watch every qualifying, but I don't like this system as much as the 12 lap free-for-all. I still don't understand what was wrong with that. It's still better than the single car snooze fest.

Count me in the list of hardcore fans of F1...I agree with you that hardly anyone i know shares the same interest...everyone here in Singapore goes ranting something about soccer ...how boring, unlike the fast and fascinating sport of F1 ....:)

Went to my first F1 race in 1963. Great sport although much less of a sport now than in the 60's say.

Jim Clarke was the greatest
