I've been translating a document and I need help!!!!! Thanks.... I would appreciate any other auction expressions too....

bidder (not auctioneer as suggested as this person does not bid but controls the auction) another could be potential buyer - you dont say what sort of auction but if you are talking about something like ebay you also have snipers - snipers are people who bid in the last 10-30 seconds of an auction they dont get caught up in bidding wars while an auction still has days to go - let me see if I can explain this - lets say an item has a current bid of $10 and you place a bid at $15 this then gives the previous bidder time to out bid you lets say $20 and then you up your bid again to $25 however if you snipe an auction you see the current bid is $10 but you do nothing until the last 30 seconds of the auction when you bid $15 this doesnt give the person you have outbid time to place a higher bid so you win the item for $15 not the potential $25 saving you money (hope that all made sense)
