In a good to bad ratio it would definitely be the UK, but the best overall programmes come from the US. They have more money to spend on the programmes, film stock is cheap over there so they don't have to use video tape all the time, and they have access to all the film studios. However, in the UK we only get the best of the best from America, and they do produce a LOT of rubbish that we don't see.

As far as quality is concerned if you mean crispness of the television downlink, it is Sweden as they use a 1129 MHz downlink transponder, while most countries in the world uses between 680 to 1125 MHz.

it all depends on what exactly excites you, it could be educative, entertainment, sports, news etc. every country has an expert in some field or the other, it is just not possible to genralise and say we are the best. chose best amongst the available one in which ever country you are in.

Quality not quantity in reference to the Indian TV channels. Just because they have so many doesn't mean they are good. I think the UK definitely have the best quality TV. Informative, entertaining, high quality both technically and artistically. We actually have channels with no advertising (Amazing!) The BBC is a recognised standard worldwide!

um...probabley canada...we get the best from other countries and our programs are pretty good as well. definitely, not the states.....i've never seen such mindless drivel! cop shows, crap about the over priviledged, useless talk shows about trailor trash or rich people that can't afford to go to europe on holiday so they need oprah's help, sitcom crap comin out of the friggin wood work!
