Why cant you attach a folder to an email only the contents inside. At work i have this annoying problem. As I send out a lot of business emails with lots of attachments. I am sick of not being able to attach a whole folder and its contents. Is there a way of getting round this as its frustrating and time consuming. And also if you are going to send the same email and attachments again as i often do. Why is it when you try to change some details of one of the attachments and try to send it does not update the attachment. Does anyone else find this frustrating or just me.

Thanks A Lot

Because you can only attach files to an email.

A folder is more of a reference to the location of the files inside that folder.

If you want to email an entire folder, its probabaly easiest to add it to a zip file ( easily done in windows by right clicking on the folder if you have WinZip or WinRar installed)

The reason you cannot send a folder as an email is because the folder is nothing but a file structure to organize your files. Its something on the operating system that points specific files under one folder and a certain path.

To send multiple files, you can simply right click that folder and chose to zip it with any tool you want, like WinZip or WinRar.

As to updating the content. If you mean you are updating the file content on your PC, then the email sure will not get updated as it has already read the file from your PC to the mail attachment. You need to reattach it I think.

You can send the same mail again and again, by storing a copy of it in the drafts folder, or send to group of people if thats OK in your case.

get winrar or winzip, they are free and let you send a folder as a compressed folder. by the way, if you are sending junk mail, go to hell.

compress the folder using "winzip" or "winace", and you can send the whole thing.
are you remembering to you save your work after you change the details?
