Ahhh I love Yahoo Answers on a wednesday - the morning after yet more torment the night before when Lost is on! (in the UK that is!) :o)

It is such a clever story and you need to watch each episode at least twice to realise how many little bits you miss the first time round! That's not to say I have a real clue but it seems that every episode adds another bit of the puzzle - it might not be the puzzle from the week before but they are all little bits and there are still questions that have gone totally quiet (hopefully just for now!)

e.g. What was with the Polar bear?!? - Did you notice the magazine that Walt had way back in the first series? (the one with the white bear on the cover!) - Is he "specisl" because he can imagine things that come to life?

What was that black cloud that we finally saw a few weeks ago staring at... hmm... Eco i think it was?

What destroyed all those trees and grabbed... Loc? when they went to get the dynamite from the shipwreck?

When they were on the raft and the shark came, did anyone else see the Dhama logo on the sharks fin?!? What's that about!

I also have questions/theories going round my head about the lastest episodes:

The magnatism of the island... Why did "Henry" tell Michael to follow that specific bearing?... I think it's because, due to the magnetic "phenominon" on the island, he will end up back on the Island (exactly like Desmond did) - his compass wont work properly!

The monitoring base in the Arctic - What are they monitoring and when the scientist says "We've found it" - what have they found? Was the woman on the bed someone who was once on the island and got off and has spent all her life looking for it again?!?
(Ahh thanks waddyisme (see below) I knew I'd seen her before!!)

AGHHHHHH I think is the correct answer! :o)

LOST is totally amazing and yet irritating at the same time - The way that everything has been written and everything is linked (even back to before the plane takes off) is just a work of genius! - I'm so looking forward to series 3 already!

Some people (mainly yanks) set off on a plane from Sydney Australia, back to the US. However, during the flight something caused the plane to crash and it landed on an island where nearly everyone survived. Not everything on the island is as it seems though and it is full of weird creatures and underground bases.

Every episode follows one or more of the characters with flashbacks as to how they ended up on the plane (first series) or meeting someone in their past who now has importance on the island (second series). Alot of the characters have met or crossed paths in the past but they may not know it, and their are alot of weird coincidences. Minor characters in a flashback sequence, may suddenly pop up on the island or in somebody Else's flashback. Its all connected.

There are some other people on the island called "the others" who may or may not be part of the weird science stuff (the Dharma project) They dress like hill Billy's but they are not and are evil and surrounded in mystery. Three of the main cast have now been captured by the others, and several other main characters may be dead in the hatch.

The hatch is one of the strange underground bunkers they found. When they eventually broke into the hatch, they found a man called Desmond was living in there pressing a button every 108 minutes. If you did not press the button when the clock reached zero, the world would end. Or would it? Last night they didn't press the button and it looked like the world would end but Desmond managed to stop it in time and may be dead. This button pressing turns out to be what crashed the plane in the first place.

To cap it all off, Desmond's ex love, who is some rich English girl, has spent years trying to find Desmond after he went missing in a yacht race (how he ended up on the island) and somehow she knows about the weird magnetic button pressing hatch thing and has now found the location of the island. Pheww! That's it.

At Crafty_198, that woman was Desmonds ex girlfriend Penny.

After watching the two parter on C4 last night I thing the island may be a some kind of pocket unvier. Thing you have to remember is that each and every person there has many conection to each other. Like Locks Box company was owned by Hurrley and it burt down. I Think to fully understand what is going on you will have to wait untill its all be shown and watch it again from start to finish. As for the four toed foot lst night who knows

It's fictional story about a bunch of people who's plane crash lands near an island... a bunch of wierd things happen and no one has a clue what the story line is actually about... Too hard to explain it all on YA but I've included a link below...

Season 2 has just ended in the UK with Season 3 to start in the US shortly...

Favourite character... has to be Hurly

A bunch of people flying from Sydney to Los Angeles crash onto a desert island, where they find evidence of some strange scary creatures, and some people called 'the others'. Various people start disappearing, and they find a hidden bunker with a computer inside it. I haven't watched it for ages, so I don't know what happened after that.

If you could answer this...then nobody would watch it...I'm sure it will all become clear by the final series...or maybe not.....

There are so many plot threads ....some will probably never be resolved...eg Why did so many of the characters paths cross before they ended on the island... ? or Why did Locke's leg heal after the crash on the island?...etc ...

There is endless speculation about the plot on various web sites...they are probably wasting their time...just like the people sending messages in those tubes......

It is nonsense...but I'm hooked....What about the Bermuda triangle...or

Hurley was created by "the others" and sent into the world as an example of a perfectly developed human. His psyche spilt, resulting in HUGO his "imaginary" freind escaping. The Darma institute created the plance crash in order to bring him home.

They are in a sort of Limbo state, as none of them survived the Crash, check out the names in the story (Jack Shepard, Darma Facility, etc - for clues)
