If you look at the T.V it certainly seems so, I always thought (and still do) that my mum is the best cook in the world. But apart from mum it looks like woman have lost it as far as cooking is concerned. Come to think of it when has a woman (apart from mum) come any where near competing with men in the kitchen. I'v been married a year and my wifes cooking is like eating old boots but I always force myself to it so as not to discourage her. Perhapes there shoulsd be more schools with male chefs for woman to attend.

If you think about it the best chefs in the world are men. But i do agree with the other ladies. In the family we have to work, take care of the kids, clean the house, cook, be good in bed... and we have to do everything with a smile.
Right now i don't care if the food i cook is yummy. All i'm interested in, is to feed everyone and get them off my back untill the next time they will want food.
Some women are lucky and have husbands that help in the house but some of us don't and the taste of the food is the last thing i care about.
OK, i feel better now!

My grandma was Italian and also a master baker, she was an excellent cook and could have outdone any of these chefs today, my mom was the same and she could turn anything into a feast, I was taught from an early age how to cook properly and well so I have never had a problem cooking for my hubby let alone anyone else, I have taught my hubby to cook too and he is a brilliant cook himself, he couldn't even boil an egg when we first got married and I know a lot of guys who are useless in the kitchen, don't know if its through lack of skill or confidence, I think cooking should be taught big time in schools today as the art is dying out.

I completely agree.

In fact men, since you are so good in the kitchen, and us women now have equal rights and go out to work too....

Why don't you try cooking 3 meals a day or more? (And holding down a job).. Go on, do what we do.. Strat your day cooking the family's breakfast, do the lunch, then get back to work so that you can do an afternoons hard graft to come home and - Oh, the joys!!! - COOK AGAIN!!!

Maybe men are the better cooks because they have more time to train, and they are not under pressure while they are doing the cooking, and maybe, just maybe, they don't cook enough to get DARNED BORED WITH IT...!!

There is always errors in those polls, surveys, and and other things of that sort. I never believe a thing about the #'s. Have you ever seen a poll or survey done where EVERYONE has given responses? NO. If that was the case then EVERY single disease is the #1 killer of everyone. LOL.

Yeah, I reckon the are better. Bet you can't name as many top female chefs as you can male chefs. Hey, so what, they have to be good at something!!!
