When you glimpse at it or if you only look at it in a linguistic way: yes.
BUT as "the expected" always is associated with a certain probability of things to happen, it s wrong.
The fact of expecting that sth could happen doesn t turn it into "the expected" as being something which is likely to happen ;-).

I think you think too hard and now i'm thinking about thinking because you're talking about thinking about expecting the unexpected and how it will then become the expected unexpected and all this thinking about thinking has my head hurting. No one ask anything for the next half an hour...i'm going for a lie down...!

No. Reason being , how can you tell what the unexpected is . You can have several things happen in a days time how can you determine if that certain situation was expected or un expected?

because we attempt to cover all eventualities, we anticipate the unexpected, that cannot mean we expect the unexpected the dfference is in the planning, tou could say the plan is not to have a plan. regards LF

because it is sumthing that you wouldnt expect 2 happen but it might, so you have to prepare yourself in case it does, therefore when it does happen it is still unexpected because you dont know when its going to happen, i spose
