Oh there's some good stuff here! Definitely The Riddle, so long since I heard that! And certainly anything Spandau (Chant No 1, wow!) but to be completely personal and subjective and these will probably change tomorrow, or even this afternoon:
60's See Emily Play - Pink Floyd
70's Yours is no Disgrace - Yes
80's The Power of Love - Jennifer Rush

Ok,,,let's think about this....the best song from each of those decades...that's like asking what's your favorite hour of the day? So,instead of going on and on about best song...i'm going to say best group or groups
from those decades.
The 1960's belonged to the Beatles
The 1970's belonged to Peter Frampton,Pink Floyd,Led Zepplin,The Who,Elton John,Queen,The Eagles and Cat Stevens
The 1980's belonged to Hall & Oates,Huey Lewis,Def Leppard,Joan Jett,Dire Straits,David Bowie...
I could go on and on but you get the idea

tub thumping by chumbawumba. It's a great song, and I've been listening to it since I was a little girl - and I still love it! You can download it from most websites, especially limewire (www.limewire.com), or you can buy it as a record (they don't actually stock the cd!) It's from the late 80's and has a great anthem style to it.
Hope you enjoy it!

A true answer would be entirely subjective. As far as long-term influence and musical ability, I would have to go with Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin.
