We, the people of the countries from the eastern hemisphere have a belief that we will learn a lot of good things when we come to an advanced country of the western hemisphere.
We still believe that they have a lot to offer us in terms of teaching us professionalism, scientific approach, rational mind etc. etc ...
We also believe that people there are honest, stratight forward and good and we will enjoy and learn a lot while enteracting with them.

But when we actually come there and interact with people there we are totally disillusioned. We find that the people are totally self centered, selfish and always trying to deceive others and take advantage of others.

Why do we get disillusioned like this ? I still can't believe that the belief we have about the goodness of the western countries and their people is utterly wrong.

Have you spoken to anyone who has made the reverse trip and tried to put yorself in their shoes?

You have had some bad experiences but continue with an open mind and you may have the change of luck you are due any time soon.

I don't know. It would depend on where you visit. We certainly have a lot to offer, as does the Eastern Hemisphere. I must admit, due to marketing, and business in America, it is a "dog-eat-dog" world here sometimes where only the best or submissive survive.

One problem might be wide spread racism, the main other one is that a lot of people have begun to see making money as their overriding goal in life.

I think it's worse in the big cities, once you settle down in a rural area your qualities as a human being become more important than your wealth.
