This question implies more than has so far been noticed by the other answers.

So I apologise if this is too detailed an answer

1) In Notepad type your HTML.

2) Click on File and Save As...
Select the location to save the file in.
Select the Save As Type as All Files (*.*)
Enter a file name followed by .htm of .html

3) Right click on the Start button and select Explore
Navigate to the location of the saved file.
The file will have an icon of the e for Internet explorer.
Double click on the icon and the file will open in internet explorer browser showing your design in full!!

After writing code in notepad save it with .htm or .html extension.
Then you can see the file with that name, open it.
If you think that page should be displayed on internet u need to register domain and host your website.

Once you've saved your .html file, close your editor/notepad. Doubleclick on the file and it should automatically open up in your browser.

are you writing it in a text editor? if so save it as an html file then just open it with your web browser

If you have written it on a notepad, save as whatever.html . I usually just save to my desktop. Then when you click on it you will see you images. Then when you want to see you code again, right click on it while you have it open and select view source.
