You cannot love a person you do not respect, but you can respect any person worth respecting.
That means in love, you cannot choose between one or the other, love and respect goes together and they cannot be separated when you speak of love.

In any successful relationship, that is, a relationship which is older than 24 hours, there has to be love in order that there be respect.
Example:
Hey (love), get your **** here and fix my bike given that you broke the bloody thing, have'nt you got any respect for my property.
So you see--- the salutation expresses love and by the very fact that love exists, respect shall follow -- if it doesnt then go to plan B.

Love, because if it's real, the respect comes along with it. But you can't have a good relationship without having both anyway!

I'd prefer both. With no respect there is no love. Trust and communication are also very important.

I would say both. But if I really have to choose one, then I will choose Love. Cos you will respect the one you love. But you might not love the one you respect.

First comes love then comes respect. If you love someone then automatically you will respect that person, but if you respect someone doesn't mean you love them.

I would choose respect becasuse when we respect anyone's feeling then we feel love. Love is always called madness, blind and so on. But there is no worse word said about respect. We respect our God, parents and our loved one too. God Bless You
