That is for the Baby's doctor to determine.

Surely the baby is receiving it's check-ups?

If so and the doctor has not advised you of any problems, just don't worry.
Ask doctor directly about your concerns on next visit.

Our smallest baby weighed 9lbs 14 ounces at birth
and heaviest 11lb 4 ounces. (big block)
8 boys and not one of them ever stopped growing.
We sure didn't thin'em out either.

He is.....if your baby is on Top feed (not mother's feed) then maybe there is reason to go to the doctor. This weight is of an average 6 month old.....

But then if he is on our feed then maybe there is nothing to worry about

Is he a breast fed baby?
Because breast fed babies are usually bigger because of all the extra fat and good stuff in mother's milk... ask your doctor if you should be concerned, but I wouldn't worry about it...my little guy was a chunky baby...but he out grew it when he finished breast feeding and started getting around on his own.

Scary stuff!!! I'm glad you worried enough to post the question. I'm not qualified to answer, though if I was concerned enough to come to ask on yahoo and ask.... it's only one step further to ask someone in paediatrics or a health-care worker . Please take the time to to follow this up past the question.
