12 if he's just gonna be a good friend but you should be at least 18 before start making out with him. At least by then you should be able to take responsibility for yourself in case anything bad happens.

I don't think its so much the age itself as it is the type of relationship between the girl and boy.
I had a pal who was a boy when I was four; and I was quite aware that he was a boy. Once when I had the flu he waited until he saw my father outside the house and gave him a very special marble (one that he had been so proud to have) to give me as a "get well gift".
Kids in elementary school may like someone, but that doesn't usually involve more than their talking in school or giving a Valentine. Some people I know had a "torrid affair" in third-grade with the cutest, most well dressed, pastel-shirted, boy. The talking-only "romance" (that also included a chance to square dance on one occasion) caused mothers to worry and other kids in the class to "talk"; but, alas, it ended when the boy's family moved before fourth grade. Ooh - but I digress. Back to the question...
Middle-school - more liking during school, some hanging out after school in a group, maybe a school dance with parents' providing transportation for the oldest middle-school kids.
High school: Maybe similiar to the oldest middle-school kids, but I'd add hanging out "just the two of them" afternoons and early evenings before age 16.
Age 16: Similar, although now I think out-and-out, real, dating is fine. It makes sense, too, because this is when kids can drive and work to earn money to spend on going out.
So I guess I'd answer your question by saying, "Youngest age to have a boyfriend, 4. Youngest age to officially date, 16." The boyfriend thing is something that just kind of grows the same way a girl grows. There's not really a minimum age for having a boyfriend as long as the relationship with the boy remains age-appropriate at whatever age both kids are.

There's little harm in having a boyfriend whenever you want one. No matter when a girl is permitted to have a boyfriend it will be too young. Most girls over 18 aren't emotionally prepared to take part in a relationship. The learning of how to deal with boys comes almost entirely from dating them. Sooner the better. Just feel free to dictate who a girl can and cannot date until she's 18, good dating decisions can make a world of difference in how a girl learns those relationship habbits.

the youngest it has ever been, or talking about your child? In case of bf-gf with my child, it would depend on the actual age of both the boy and girl. If one of both is rather grown up, I'd be scared at any age, but I think 14 is the youngest I would allow it. But I'd watch it from a distance

Depends on your age.. Usually women grow more mature faster then boys.. Try to choose boyfriend that is 4 years older atleast.. but yeah.. just get to know the person then decide.. as you know maturity and wisdom isnt determine by age, gender,or social status.. as long as not to young..probably 1 year younger from you..
