i've suffered from these for years. The're lumps of old food thats got stuck in the back of your throat. i use to get a cotton bud and hook it out, makes you sick though. and they smell disgusting,so u might notice your breath smell a bit. if you don't want the hassle of going to the docs then gargle with some diluted t.c.p or listereen mouthwash that will kill any bactirea lingering.hopefully you've caught it before it gets to an infection. if they haven't gonee in two days then you will need to go to the doc. He will prescribe you AMOXYCILLIN captalls. warn you thought that the tablets are huge so if you have trouble swallowing tablets ask for an alternative.

I would get your throat looked at by a doctor. The white spots may be infection. And you may need an antibiotic to clear up that infection. Don't panic! But do get it looked at, o.k?

It's an infection. Gargle with salt water or diluted tcp 3 times a day until it's gone. If it spreads significantly or hasn't gone within a week - see a GP.

I'd go with the infected/blocked tonsil. I had 'em when I was 20, and wound up having them removed. Best pop along to the doc.

It's just an infection. Not anything bad. I used to get them all the time before I had my tonsils out. Gargle some aspirin and that should get rid of it.

I agree with the others on this but have to say it's a good job it's on the left side because if it was on the right it means your time is up and you will soon pass over to the other side.
When you say left side, is that your left or the left side when looking in the mirror???

this is pus on your tonsils. it is called tonsilitis. it can get bad enough that your tonsils can swell and occlude your airway. you should go the doctor and get an antibiotic. this happened to me as a young adult and at the age of 24 i had my tonsils removed. not fun
