I would think HBO's "The Sopranos" is the highest "A-Class" cable series out for reasons easy to answer. The surviving characters have committed their careers, growing/aging with time during Sopranos film production; they all remain loyal to the job.

The final episodes are under very tight security and none of the cast really knows what next to expect; even if they did--no one is telling.
