I only needed the birth control for the summer, and so after my period in august i stopped using the patch. I didnt have sex at all after that and still havent so decided not to stay on birth control until i really need it again, except my period this month hasnt happened yet and i thought it should have happened like a week and a half ago. I'm pretty sure it might just be my body getting use to not being on the patch, at least i hope thats what it is? How late is it going to make me be? I had cramping over the weekend pretty bad but usually when that happens i start the day after, and i still havent started... i dont want to worry about being pregnant

Your body is just trying to figure out whats going on. One minute your on birth control the next your not. It will soon enough settle down. If you remotely worried about pregnancy take a test even if its just to make you feel better. Dont worry it will come anyday now.

if you were on BC for only 3 months through the summer, that's actually not a lot of time for your body to get used to being 'controlled' so to speak.

did you have sex within the first week of being on the patch or at any time not put the next one on in time?

bleeding on BC is a withdrawl bleed from the hormones in the BC. this can still occur while on BC even if you are pregnant because the BC is telling your body that it's time to bleed.

you may or may not be PG, but to be sure take a HPT. if it comes back negative, then you're more than likely not pregnant. it should be late enough in your cycle that if you are PG, then the test will be positive.

Good Luck!!

Take a pregnancy test. That's the only way to tell. You could have missed your period because you went off birth control or you could be pregnant since you are sexually active. Also, there's no need to give your body breaks from hormones. It's safe to continually take even if you are not sexually active. If cost is a concern, there are clinics like planned parenthood that offer low cost birth control. If it's side effects, you may need to switch brands so you can find one that works for your body without negative side effects.

taking yourself off the patch is going to mess things up, periods are different with everyone they show up here and there but never when we plan on it, i say that if it dont show up with in the next week go to the drug store and get a test if that still doesnt satisfis you just go to your doctor and get a test with them that is a for sure thing they do a blood test and it is shown that way

This solution only works if he was black. And you sound like an "overly promiscuous individual," (can't say s,l.u[t]) so he probably was. Stick a banana up there and if it comes out halfeaten, you've got a little shaved monkey on the way.

i dont think you're pregnant. your body just got used to not having your period that it now became irregular. ask your doctor for medicine that will help you menstruate.
