Well, just to be sure about it, I'd take the kid's blood and have it tested for DNA. That's the only way to be 100% sure. If you're a 100% sure already that the kid isn't yours - take into consideration how the kid ended up with you and if the child is bearing your name. If you love the child - do you love the child ONLY because you thought the kid was yours in the first place or do you love the child unconditionally? I'd deal with the mother separately but the child needs you more as a father.

I would have left my wife.... not because she has a child from some other guy,,,, but because she had lied to me....
but i would like to keep the child, cos the innocent child has nothing to do with this affair... he/she only knows that i am his/her dad.... thats it.... being a dad is a great responsibility... no matter whose child it is...
you know it is very hard t digest that you are taking care of someone else's child... but look at it this way, if you would have adopted a child, and bred him up, he still WILL be YOUR child.. isn't it????
but the main culprit is your wife and all is in between you and him... please dont drag the child into this....
dad is not who gives birth.. but one who gives the born child, a LIFE....

Hon ive read some of ur other posts MY are u in a mess!!!
First if u love ur lover, tell him about it if he doesnt want u or ur baby then go to ur husband, that is if he still wants u
If they both leave, u probably had it coming, but i know ud be heartbroken since u love ur old lover so much!
Dunno how ur husband WILL react, hed probably flip. He has every right to be. Take it easy, the most u pack ur stuff & live the rest of ur life peacefully, with ur child

I think most men would say they'd kill or atleast want to , to find out that not only did their wives screw another man, but then got pregnant, and tried to pass the kid of as theirs just to find out the child the love more then life is not theirs.. talk about having ur heart literally ripped from your chest..

BEFORE you do anything else, TALK to someone you trust!
You might consider seeing a therapist or counselor, not because anything's wrong with you!, but because they're experienced with helping people work through difficult situations.
Your relationship with your partner will never be exactly the same as before. Some couples might reestablish trust--and that's not easy--while others might break up.
Again, first talk with someone you trust.

I would definitly flip out i have duaghters that are 9 and 7 and to found out that one of them was not mine id flip out not on the kids and the kids wouldnt know i wouldnt let them find out becuase i am thier dad and always have been to much of a shock to them at that age but for thier mother omg id lose it id want to know who thier father is were he is and id go hunt him down with a lawyer and he would be paying back child sopport and id get him for everything i could and as my kids mom id scream and yell and i would always hold it against her and i would probablly leave her and get custody of all my kids

I think it would depend on whether I wanted to be a "Dad" or whether I was dreading being a "Father".
If there was no marriage involved and I wasn't particularly excited about have a child, I would probably pack up and leave.

It sure is not the first and there are a lot more than people know. If you care about the kid and its mother then shut your mouth and get on with it. If you really are looking for an excuse to get rid of them then do so.

Most of us would be extremely pissed,others would be relieved. Me..I'd contact a friend or family member, talk it over, re assess our relationship, try to figure out what the hell you were thinking, ask myself if I could forgive you, then pack your sh@t in a hefty bag and send you to your parents and let them figure it out.

if I was in a committed relationship with her ....you can only feel heart broken ....it would be the end for me ....could never get back the trust again ...as for bringing up a child which i knew was not mine ....sorry dont think i could
