Yep. Welcome to war and real life. Governments, including the US, have, and will continue to, commit "murder" in the guise of legitimate political activities. It is generally not the citizens who wish for murder and war, but the political leaders who instigate these types of activities. As Crime and Punishment implied, Napoleon's actions resulted in thousands of deaths, but he is still considered an icon leader in history. I murder my neighbor, no matter how pure my motives, I go to jail for the rest of my life. That is how current society works, unfortunately.
I believe people could live together quite well , if it wasn't for the realistic view that we all need consumable resources and for politicians/leaders who desire fame and fortune.

You are absolutely right they do get out of murder. I don't believe its only the government though. Its people with power, or money. Seems how they have both well I guess they fall under different laws. Every thing and every body has a price to sell out at. So there for they are really not doing anything illegal they paid for it lol :) good luck with this question

You're a real intellectual, aren't you. But did you even take the time to look up the definition of the word "Murder"? Well here it is for you, spelled out:
MURDER (mur-dur) "The unlawful killing of one human by another, especially with premeditated malice"
Is war unlawful? I don't think so, Congress voted on its legality.
Is it one human against another? No, it is a country protecting its interests.
Is the war in Iraq premeditated malice? I think not, it's more like proactive self-defense.
What Saddam did to the Kurds (genocide) was MURDER. For our country to defend itself and the rights of its people (yes, even people like you) against direct attack is justified by common sense, and every law I can think of.

The US Govt murders people, and we arent talking about war here (killing in war is not murder, the one who called the OP a moron has shown himself to be one). The taking of human life is evil, no matter the reason for it. Our own government review of the nations capital punishment rate has shown it to be extremely racist and class based (ever seen a billionaire convicted of murder on death row? no, and you wont). It is one of the great many things that make our government nothing like what our founding fathers had in mind.
Here in Arkansas, you arent even allowed to kill to defend yourself. If you yell at a cop he can kill you though. Make sense of that one.

why was it ok for Saddam to have his "ethnic clensing"? Why were the lives lost on 9/11/01 not also considered murder and why do you ignore it?
Your point of view is so narrow, it's amazing you can get up in the morning and do anything other than cry about the ant you stepped on.

Yes murder is illegal, but in times of war killing although it may not be right in the eyes of some, it is justified through the government to protect your civil liberties and mine. You can argue this topic but it won't change the outcome. Premeditated murder is different than killing someone who is trying to kill you(war).

Some people you just can't teach, so he gets what he got here last week, which is the way he wants it. Well he gets it. And I don't like it anymore than you man.
Most countries justice system is first to educate, prisonment, and death only when the person seems too dangerous to let live.

The government doesn't see it as murder because its been through the justice system and has proven to itself that the person has committed a crime worthy of such punishment. Its all in the eyes of the beholder.

let me ask you a question. if someone close to you was killed, wouldn't you want that killer brought to justice? if your idea of justice is spending the rest of his life in jail, well i'm sorry thats just messed up. when you kill someone the penalty is you are killed. its been that way for thousands of years of recorded history. why is it so hard to understand? why should american NOT be the same as every country that has ever come before it?

Oh course murder is illegal but not in all cases...
i wil tel u example:
World war 2: Germany killed millions of peoples and other nations conqueres germany mainly to stop that war ....But they killed germans ...so u say that illegal? oh course killin is illegal but they do it for good purpose[to stop germany]...
If u think murder is illegal, then u cant survive in this world...
i wil tel u 1 thing,
Wat many religion says is All in the world are equal- that means u ,me and other ,donkeys, monkeys, pigs ,...all are equal...
ok now we eat food - even plants have life so it ,means u murder plants -that is also kiling and c in non-vegetarian ,we kill animals[they also hav equal right like us to live in this world] we eat...then u say that as illegal? we don care abt that....we jus c the meat in it....
God send Everyone[every living beings] to world only to kill others[plants,animals,..] and survive....ok?
Ther is a famous Tamil saying in india:
"Beat is helpful than brothers" -
U can ask animals are different from Human?
oh course they are different but not much...ok?
This wold is "survival of the fittest" - who hav strength will rule and other wil b ruled...
This is not strange ,its the nature.....Insects eaten by frong which is eaten by snake which is eaten by eagel...it goes on friend.....
C the world men rule the world since he hav physical strength than women....So this is nature....
NOw u said abt U.S war, check out isreal ,and many more countries ...not only U.S ,..the country which is powerful wil rule the world thats nature......
Here no one wil hav guts to speak abt death in the war or anythin to those countries...this trend wil change wen som other country becom powerful...
So u dont care abt murder ... we cant stop it...its nature......
wat i think:All peoples are goin to die some day .. peoples who are murdered - no need to face this nasty world and bad happenings in world....
