I know what you mean. It hurts because your squishing your baby, and your muscles can't stretch that far! I hate it too. But that's why you need someone around to help you up off the couch, out of the bed and the bath and to pick things up for you. Don't be scared to ask for help. You are a little past that point where your probably getting frustrated because you can't do the simplest things anymore (like shave your legs, reach up high, jump, bend over or even keep your balance) I know it's hard, but people understand and are happy to help! Just ask. Enjoy it while you can! People always being so nice to you is something you'll miss when your not pregnant anymore so take advantage of it! CONGRATULATIONS!

Welcome to the "I wish this baby could be born now" stage of pregnancy. Your stomach hurts because as you put it, you are full of baby. Every muscle, every tendon, every joint is now on maximum stretch, and you just get very uncomfortable blinking. Things will improve a bit when the baby drops into birth position, except that will transfer discomfort lower.
I found a worn out tennis ball put just the right amount of pressure on my poor sore back, and had the advantage of being able to be rolled around by my husband until we massaged just the right place. I also found a little wonder called a maternity belt- sort of a weight lifters belt for moms-to-be. They wrap around and just under the baby's bum/head and help hold the weight and support your back. They are sold in maternity shops, and are definitely worth the expense, especially if you intend to have more children in future.
Cross legged isn't happening until after baby comes. Float in a nice warm tub of water, or a pool, helps ease the back. Sleep on your side, with a pillow between your knees and another one under your tummy. Forget leaning over, forget bending over. That's what other people are for now.
Sorry I can't offer more assistance. There isn't much that can be done at this point, except move about to find a comfortable- or at least less painful - position. Just keep telling yourself you are in the home stretch, and theres a beautiful baby yet to come.

You have to find your own confort zone, there is no map for getting comfortable when pregnant. If you have to hang off the bed, or lay on the couch with your feet in the air, do what makes you comfortable. 8 months, you are almost there, enjoy these moments with your child, because once the cord is cut, it will be a different ball game. God Bless.

Beccause you are 8 months pregnant! If you are big with this one, you are stuck being miserable. Careful, you may have to sleep in a recliner (weight from the baby can make it hard to breathe). Just be careful and take it slow and easy.

I'm assuming this is your first, women are usually bigger with the first baby then the rest

You have to look forward! Rather enjoy than moan about it. Being pregnant is great. There is nothing like it in the world. Cherish is, it's almost over!
