The country was in a funk after the assassination of JFK, and the Beatles single-handedly turn everything around for us in 1964. That really was a great time to be young and a Beatles fan. I remember their appearance on the Ed Sullivan show and how wonderful they were. I became a Beatles fan for life after I saw their movie: A Hard Day's Night." Share your memories with me.

Absolutely. I was a guitarist in a band and we sang Beatles songs. I sang George Harrison tunes because his vocal range was the same as mine, not too many high notes. Yeah, I remember singing Happy Just to Dance With You at a high school dance and the girls digging it. Hard Days Night the movie was both funny and philosophical.

OMG, I still remember the Ed Sullivan show too. I couldn't decide if I was in love with Paul or George! I was never lucky enough to get to see them live, but I remember the stories about how you couldn't hardly hear their music for all the screaming from the crowd. I have a couple of DVD's that have a lot of footage from their first American tour, it's quite a scene! Girls crying and fainting in the aisles and stuff...

I wasnt born back then, but I love seeing the footage of Beatles concerts from Sydney & Adelaide ( I`m Australian) , the crowd went completely mad, everyone was screaming & no one heard any music for the whole set. The Beatles are awesome, they still will be in 200 years time. Good question, thanks
