Can i delete the files thats in this folder "C:\Documents and Settings\~~~~~~~~~~\Local Settings\Temp"

without damaging my computer? There are program setup files in there, that i don't use. . . i was just wondering before i did it.

Yes, you can safely delete those files

you can delete them, but since you are viewing a hidden folder you shouldn't really delete them manually. this could cause problems in your paging file. try running the disk cleaner. you can find it like this. Open My Computer> right click your hard-drive> go to properties, under the General Tab should be a button labeled "disk cleanup". once you run that, it will go to another window. in here. check the box titled temporary files, its a good idea to check the temporary internet files as well, then click ok, and a message box will pop up asking if you really want to perform these actions (of course you do). click yes, and you're home free.

You can delete any .tmp files without disabling any programs. If a program needs a .tmp file it will recreate it. Most .tmp file just take up space and setup files are only needed for repairing an installation without re-inserting the original disc

Yes, when I was in school one of our instructors told us we should periodically delete temp files. Even showed us how to automate the process.

temp means just that.... temporary...dont delete the folder but run disk cleanup an check temporary files and run the cleanup

Sure, by deleting this, you are freeing more space on your hard drive!! When the Hard Drive is too full, you'r pc., works slower!! And it might freeze!!
