To add on....I mean...when I hear people ask...."Hey..what's your race?" and then they reply "I'm German and Jewish"...well is that right?

Oh wow have I been dealing with this all my life: The Jewish faith dictates that Jews must marry (and therefore mate with) other Jews, so most jews have a certain upbringing, some physical characteristics, and philosophy.

Note: People can convert to Judaism.

Usually if someone says: "I'm Jewish", its safe to assume they actually are a member of a Jewish faith/church/sect(there's different levels of Judaism, same as all the other major religions).

If someone says "I have Jewish HERITAGE" -its an important distinction- its safe to assume they aren't a practicer of Judaism.

It's your religion. Sammy Davis Jr. was Jewish. The ppl from the palisitine region are semetic by race regardless of their religion.
