Yes it is, but Americans are taught that they can be given things without having to work for them. Just about every race in the world has been persecuted and/or enslaved throughout history. Who still whines and complains? Black Americans. This type of thinking is now so common, we don't even question it!! Look at Katrina, Spike Lee, UNCF, they're all full of $hit. And we've bought the lie, hook, line, and sinker.

well racist would be more like we are going to make an effort to exclude you. the whole race thing is 19th century science at its worst. we are all mongrels as far as anyone can figure out. no pure breeds the human race.
unfortunately we can't treat everyone with equal respect so they try to make laws to help. whether these laws are part of the cure or part of the disease is anyones guess. i would say eduction for everyone would be the best cure but what do i know?

I just answered a question about commercials and made the comment that certain commercials ONLY feature certain kinds of people. However, if you were a business trying to sell something would you want to limit who bought it? There's a BUSINESS reason for having all kinds of people in a commercial - you target a much bigger audience.

its extremely racist, if a black coach is capable of producing a winning team you better believe his name will be in the pool to be a coach on his merit alone. The schools will look at prospects that can produce winners regardless of race. College athetics is big $$ for that school and they want winners. It is racist is just another way for blacks to try to get by on color instead of merit.

by definition, nope:
rac‧ism
1.a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
2.a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.
3.hatred or intolerance of another race or other races
-----------------------------------------------------------------
as for media, particularly ads, that's demographics. trying to appeal to as wide an audience as possible. in movies it's probably more of an attempt to make it look like the real world.
