Where do people get the BALLS to contact people they know nothing about? And have NOT even a remote connection to begin chatting. I post that I'm a 52 yr old piano teacher from Long Island NY, and also post my photo. WHY would a 44yr old architect from san diego, or a 39 yr old beefy guy from bergen county NJ instant message me? Or, even when I tell the 38 yr old from 5 miles away he is TOO YOUNG to have anything in common with me, he persists until I have to get rude. Don't people have any manners, or even read the profiles we take the time to post?

Well that is the great world of internet!!! Seems this is a place people feel comfortable to make their move lol
I hate to say it, but some people just need someone to talk to at that moment, and for men they just want someone to cyber with them so they can go get back in bed with their wife.. Ok that is not all fair, 98% of them :) Ok I feel better.
The internet has all kinds and some are just wanting to learn about you or to communicate to get away from the real life drama.
Good Luck finding people that you feel is right for you.

STFU, first you post something and then you don't want people to contact you, if people have nothing common they shouldn't even answer your stupid question
maybe somebody just wants to take some piano lessons, that's all, that's why probably people writing you..you are a teacher after all right? I guess you are just out of your old mind, that's all you should throw your computer out and forget about Internet,

I believe no one really takes the time to read the post they just look at the pictures and feel as if they need to leave a comment. I believe men just want to see if they can get a conversation going with whom ever will respond.

Geez - chill out!!! Look - you're using a service that has MILLIONS of people on it! You're gona get contacted by people - end of! I get messaged by people that Ive never even read questions from - you have two options - you either mail em back - or ignore them - its entirely your choice.
You cant prevent it from happening - so my advice to you is just get on with it - with regards to the guy thats too young - you're better off ignoring the likes of them as it is my opinion that some people just want to contact you to annoy and ridicule you into a reaction - dont rise to it!!

we're all here to talk to each other, ma'm. and we can't always have it sunny side up. there will be pl who feel like bugging u. hell, there have been ppl who've bugged me big-time. but i ain't complaining.
and u know why? b'coz i know it's not gonna help. i know it's easier to ignore them. i don't even bother to be rude to them.
this is a world ma'm, and it takes all kinds of pl to make a world.
and lastly, Yahoo! Answers is a question-answer forum,not a goddamn public grieviance centre. go take ur sob-stories elsewhere.
