it'll be an interesting match that will never happen. but for the sake of argument, i'll try to answer.
i'll pick 80s jordan to win. although lebron might have superior physics compare to jordan's, but jordan's desire to win is the key. it has been proven from time to time that what will power can do. even in jordan's era, jordan wasn't the most gifted athlete, though he was still one of the most gifted. despite being the most gifted athlete, he was still the arguably the best in his era. why ? because of his strong will to win.

Not a question that is fair to Lebron James.
Lebron James now is MJ's age when he entered the league. Of course what MJ accomplished in the 80's is better than Lebron has now. However, this question will be better asked in 4 years "who is better - 80's Jordan's or 00's James?"
I would think Lebron may have done more comparatively to the respective stages of careers by then.

Lets say it's going to 15, Jordan DOMINATES by the score of 15-8. The reason so is Jordan the better defensively then Bron has ever encounter in his life and Jordan is too quick for Bron. Yes LeBron has size, Jordan is much more smarter, and Jordan will exploit LBJ's weakness......... MAN on MAN DEFENSE

jordan. jordan had a couple things lebron doesnt. jordan played great defense, lebron struggles with it. jordan had hall of fame teamates to help elevate his game, lebron doesnt. jordan has rings, lebron doesnt. jordan was able to beat detroit, lebron wasnt. they could both shoot, they both filled the stat sheets, but in the end jordan gets it because he played defense, competed and won slam dunk conest, and was able to beat the best of all time.
