Eskimos usually only have one or two children because babies/toddlers cling to the parents (naked) under the fur coats/skins they wear, 100% of the time, until they are 2-3 years old. I imagine lugging a child around fulltime would put a dampener on sex. Eskimos do have fires and fish a lot.

In scientific terms, it's called adaptation. The body has a way of adapting to its environment so that what would be unbearable to us is just another typical day for the Eskimos. Their body adjusts to the extreme climate.
