First you have to seek admission in a university.Then contact the department where biotechnology is taught. If you are a foreign student then you have to meet certain requirements(such as GRE and TOEFL) to get admission. Check with the concerned department to find out what these requirements are. After you are admitted, you will have to take courses and pass with B plus average. You will have to take doctoral preliminary and comprehensive exams as per the suggestion of your guide. You have to find out a topic to work on for your doctorate.When your work is over, you have to write a dissertation and present it before the committee. When they approve of it, you have to present your findings in a seminar. When your thesis committee approves, you are awarded the degree.

if you will work out of USA, then work for a pharmeutical company, or agriculture company.
