It is because in the US we are not communists. There has always been a fight to be in charge, even with animals. It is some sort of alpha-male thing.

Lets say for argument sake that right now this second we distribute wealth equally among all men. Now one of them starts up a shop and sells stuff to the other people. Inevitably this will end up with some people having more of the wealth than they originally started with - and to balance it out someone somewhere must have less.

My point is that there will always be someone who is richer than someone else, and there's nothing we can do about it. Communism is a beautiful idea, but that's all it is, an idea - it's been tried and tested in the real world and it turns out it doesn't work. Why? Because all it takes is one person to have a little more than the others and it falls apart in the way I've already described.

its because if you were to make everyone equal and give everyone the same amount, there would be smart people who would be able to figure out how to get other people to give them money. some people would simply spend until they didn't have any more, giving someone else more money. that would continue until you have what is happening right now. some people are really poor and some people are really rich. now i'm not saying that the poor people are poor because they spent all their money because they could have been born like that, but the reason musicians and athletes make millions of dollars is because people with not as much money as them spend what money they do have to buy their cd, see them in concert, buy their merchandise, or watch them play. it all works itself out.

Equal living as you put it is what we call Communism (or Socialism, I forget which is the economic system and which is the political system). Its no better than what we have here, Capitolism.

It would be fine if people were paid what they deserve. They rarely are however.

There is no fix for this problem except to live in an anarchistic commune where everyone helps everyone.

It isn't fair - not that people get paid millions to rap and play sports while hard workers make less than minimum wage sometimes - it is not that the rich work for it and the poor don't either - not even close.

It isn't right - even the professions that don't make a lot of money and should - like teachers and jobs like that - where we help people - cops, firemen - people who save lives and give life to others - show them how to live, etc.

It isn't fair. It is so sad.

First of all if you believe in GOD you will know the answer, the way we think is different than GOD thinks, we humans can think to build a building or dance for example, but we cannot rule the make a plan for the whole world, we cannot do it, that’s why GOD made man unequal due to the need of each others, if all of us are equal in living, the next morning you will not go to work, you might go for drinking, you will not marry, have kids, etc, the world will be a mess.

Why should you have to work hard to give part of your earnings to someone just because they don't want to work. Poor people are poor because tey want to be either they have too many kids to feed, or they didnt get an education to get a proper job and had the opportunity or they are too lazy to get a job period....what good is trying hard if we are all going to be equal in the end?

There will always be the haves and have nots regardless if a nation is socialist ,capitalist, communist or dictorship.
Unless the whole world came together and eliminated the need for money.
But if that happened who would do the work?

This world is a testing ground. If your are rich, You have to share with poor. If you are poor, you should still show your gratitude.
