Why China WONT become a Superpower?

Simply because they have practiced female infanticide on a very large scale, the sex-ratio is skewed enormously and 125 million men or more than a quarter of the male population soon won't be able to find wives. All advanced countries such as USA, Germany, UK, Japan etc, have more females than males. The coming 20-30 years, China will disintegrate into anarchy, crime, violence & wars as unmarried men try to grab other mens wives.

China is booming economically lately and could become a superpower militarily because of wealth. China has long been a sleeping giant but is now waking up.

The Age of Superpowers ended with the fall of the Soviet Union. All it takes to topple a superpower is to overextend its military and undermine its fiscal health at the same time. Through obscene fiscal and trade deficits and a new policy of all war, all the time, the US is destroying itself and has already been demoted from 'superpower' status!

China is not trying to be a superpower, just to make itself more powerful. It is succeeding, and its surfeit of extra males makes it a formidable foe. With all that extra testosterone of warmaking age running around, it's a small step from manufacturing powerhouse to military power.

Think about it--China has enough extra men to put 15 armies of 25 million--25% more than the entire population of the US--in force, with easy capacity to equip and sustain them. This is an extraordinary ability to put 'boots on the ground' and worth taking note of.

They can go anywhere in the world to get women, if they choose to.

I agree with you my friend. Everyone on here is just a bunch of downers. They don't realize that China's spending is only 11% of the U.S. military spending. Plus China's gov. has to create 20 million jobs a year just because of their population. If China were to go to war with the U.S. then they would have to beable to bring all those chinese over here on a ship.. which they dont have and wont ever have, not to mention they wont have that easy of a time making all those weapons and sending all those people out like the answerers said. The U.S. has more allies also. Plus if China was to go to war with the U.S. they can kiss there economy goodbye because the U.S. is there biggest buyer of crap. The U.S. WILL FOREVER BE THE SUPERPOWER!

I believe China will not end up the way you hoped for in 20-30 years.
It however, will not be superpower simply because the Chinese are good in going low profile, sucking up and polishing apples.

So if they become a superpower, who's apple will they polish?

wow, what an interesting viewpoint.

i have a related theory... its not a real theory really, jus something I thought of.

women are better at multi-tasking as they've had generations of practice in the home, and therefore are more suited to be in managerial positions.
Men are generally stronger and better at physical labour and are more suited to be workers.
It is also true that you can make an embryo in a lab from two ovum.
This leads me to think that women could quite easially be a race in their own right, having men as slaves to open pickle jars. :)
Women are also less agressive so there would be less war. Aswell, women are are gentler creatures who would fill the world with flowers and bunnies.

Interesting hypothesis, but, that's all it is. On the macro economic and political scene it is inevitable that China is becoming a Superpower.
