7 out of what? hopefully 7 out of 10. If it's 7 out of 100 , OUCH!! best bet, ask dad for help if you can. Approach him just like that: Dad, I think i need your help.
OR
Dad, could you help me, I an having difficulty.

I do NOT want to imply anything that your situation/relationaship is different or bad in any way. But, most dads will ALWAYS love their kids no matter what we do or don't do.
[I know there have been times I have severely disappointed my parents--like them finding out the reason I was getting such awful marks in 7th grade was that instead of riding my bike to school everday, I was really going to the beach more often than not. But, I also know my parents still love me and want the best for me even to this day.]
This also means they will ALWAYS be willing to help. And, they will ALWAYS be proud and more willing to help when they realise you have finally realised you need to improve or better yourself in some aspect.

Give your father a "family love" test to see what kind of score he gets. After he takes the test, show him your geography score.

Questions for his test:

1. If your daughter has great school scores, do you praise her to make her feel good about her accomplishments, or do you make light of it so that she thinks it's not that important?

2. If your daughter has poor school scores, do you explain, in a loving way, how important school scores are, and do you offer to take time to help her with her homework so that she will do better, or do you just get angry with her and don't offer to help her?

3. If your daughter has some good school scores and some bad school scores, do you praise her for the good ones and offer to help her with the bad ones, or do you just express displeasure with the bad scores and say nothing about the good ones?

4. Do you look forward to spending time with your daughter or do you have little time for her?

5. Do you think showing anger is better than showing love?

6. Do you think that making your daughter feel bad about school scores in areas where she is weak is better than trying to help her improve by providing some of your time and help?

7. Do you view your daughter as someone very special to you or do you view her as just a source of grief?

8. Do you love your daughter or do you hate her?

9. Is being married and having children important to you or do you wish you had never gotten married and had children?

10. Do you love your wife and children and want the best for them?

If nothing else, this test will put him in the right frame of mind for your geography score.

If you don't think this will work, ask your teacher or school principal to mail the score to your father with suggestions on how he can help you do better by taking a personal and loving interest in the education of his daughter.

Point out to him that George Bush doesn't know the difference between Afghanistan and Iraq and he's the President of the United States, so obviously lousy geography skills aren't necessarily going to ruin your chances of making something of yourself.

you got 7 aout of 10? that's not bad. but if he'd still be mad, tell him that you know where you got the questions wrongs and you'll do better next time (and you better guarantee you do better next time if you say that, you have to gain his trust!)
