consumer awareness means mking the consumer aware of the products and services being purchased by them . this means that the company should not hide any details about the product . consumer awareness also means that the consumer should be aware of the product and services being launched in the market. an effective media publicity nd promotion may be one of the solution to it.

Consumer Awareness could be of two types:
1. The term could be used in the advertsisng context of the consumer being aware of a certain brand. The effectiveness of the Marketing spends is gauged by the awareness levels of that brand
2. The term could be used in the legal context that a consumer should be aware of his/her rights when purchaing a product / service

It is the Knowledge of consumers regarding the present products in the market.It is quite helpful for the public as it provides the right to choice.It can help the consumers to appropriately satisfy their needs.This can also make the consumers economical and thereby raising their standard of living.

At what scale this consumer awareness requires to be 'marketed' depends on the situation.
Basically, it is to protect the consumer from being deceived into paying for what he could not get as per his expectations from the goods and services opted to be consumed/availed at a cost .
