I think you mean which sperm that carries the Y gene which determines whether the egg is male. The other sperm that carries the X gene is the gene that determines female. The Y sperm is the stronger of the two but the male foetus that arises is actually weaker than the female.

Well, depends on each an everyone! If you are a male who ask this question, then you have to admit that the male is stronger than the female when your dad had you since you are the one that finish the race first while the other sperm dies after the egg and the sperm are fused!

Stronger isn't the best term... sperm with the male chromosome swim faster, so will reach the egg first. Therefore, if you have intercourse on the day or day after you ovulate, you are most likely to conceive a boy. Sperm with the female chromosome live longer, however. So this means that if you have intercourse a couple of days before you ovulate, you will be more likely to conceive a girl.

the male (Y) sperm is faster and stronger but they don't tend to live as long. The female (X) sperm is slower and usually meets the egg once the males have perished.

The sperm carrying the Male chromazone are faster swimmers but don't last as long, The Sperm carrying the Female chromazone arew slower swimmers but are active and live for longer. So if the egg turns up late you are more likly to have a female child!!

It is not a question of which are stronger. In general the X chromosome sperm is shorter lived than the Y chromosome sperm.

If you ovulate, but wish to have a girl, you should have sex two days (approximately) before ovulation. Y sperm will then be at the right place at the right time :)

The female sperm are stonger faster swimmers than the male sperm. And to the one that said that they thought there were only male sperm. Women only carry the male chromosomes. Men carry both the male and female chromosomes.

I dont think sperm has a sex per se, it fertilizes the egg, which then becomes a zygote, then a foetus, somewhere in that process at 10-12 weeks of conception there is a hormonal shower that initiates the process of reporductive organs developing, its at that stage, that foetus become male or female. the organs either get inverted to become ovaries etc. or external like a penis, if you study the reporductive organs of men and women, they are essentially the same looking in contours. When it comes to survival, the female is better at it coz its always been hard for the female of most species, a female foetus will survive under harsh conditions better than a male.

Male sperm swims faster but female sperm are stronger. It just depends on which one makes it there first, and can crack the egg!

Neither are necessarily "stronger". Sperm that produce male babies swin faster and die earlier than sperm that produce female babies. Female sperm take longer to get get to the egg, after the male sperm have arrived and died.
