It's both. Many women have a great deal of spotting in the first month or two, and it's nothing to get alarmed about, but you should still tell your doctor about any bleeding you experience during your pregnancy.

Bright red blood beyond the days of implantation (one to two weeks after conception) are the biggest concern, especially if it's more than a few drops. Brownish blood is more typical after that and is usually not an indication of a problem. This will pretty much go away by the second trimester.

i'm 9 weeks pregnant with twins and while the dr said that yes it is common for some women to spot early in pregnancy sometimes through the entire pregnancy it is still a cause for concern. while it's not uncommon bleeding or spotting can also be the sign of a problem. my dr told me that anytime i see blood i need to get checked out just to make sure things are ok. good luck!!

It depends, spotting after sex is normal early in the pregnancy. You have to distinguish between spotting & bleeding and that might be hard. Talk to a doctor, take it easy & relax. but see a doctor just to be safe.

ok yes it is there is lots of people who actually have their period through the whole dang thing if the pain aint enough! but if the bleeding worsens or gets clumpy that may be a sign of two things, one miss carage and that needs attention to, two that simply your plasesnta is coming off the cord but those are things that still are of some concern, now i am not a doc but in experiences that is what has happened, just ask you obygn doc if you still feel concerned, but everything should be ok.

well that depends on what else is going on. do you have any cramping or is the spotting getting worse. it can be completely normal although you need to monitor it . i went through the same thing only i had cramping that worsened and the spotting got worse also. so don't worry that just makes things worse, i would call my doc. and give him a heads up.

Sometimes spotting can be normal. It is usually very light, and most often a brown color. It comes from implantation. You should of course consult with your Dr. to be safe!

Good Luck!
