If you get a good tune stuck in your head, or you happen to whistle or hum something that sounds nice, then keep repeating it, or record it. As for the words, listen to other music and read books and whatnot. Ideas for lyrics should come to you. Keep the chorus easy or repeat a simple line that people would remember. Above all, try to enjoy it. If you're not enjoying the process of making the song, then it probably won't be enjoyable/catchy for others.

If it's rap then u can take help from eminem and nelly lyrics.
If its jazz or rock u can just listen to greenday or kelly clarkson or Beyonce.

you can just take help from them but the main thing you have to make by your own.

try to make it cheesy as possible. then try to make the words as simple as possible. if you want to be a popstar or that is, if you want to make pop songs.

if you're into rock, make it deep, make it angry. keep it real.

and try both of them melodic. think of a melody first before proceeding to your lyrics. it is easier that way.
