Your question is not clear. You can have 3 balls leaving the scene of a collision between 2 balls if one splits. Lots of particle collisions turn out that way. I got so sick of analyzing these collisions that I changed my major from physics to electrical engineering. That changed my life.

there is absolutely NO way that you can hit three balls at the EXACT same angle as you can two balls thus sending three balls flying in different directions.
