Boeing is universally seen as the big bully on the block, from Washington state to Washington DC. I've heard their tactics on Capitol Hill are questionable at best and their business development efforts smack of smiley-faced strong-arming. Even assuming all that is all true, are they really any worse than other mega corporations?

What? As opposed to what many in the industry call "Scare-bus"? Boeing just makes a nicer aircraft to ride in. Airbus is CHEAP. This is why it's popular -- and it feels cheap. Boeing is better made. It has better sound proofing. Also, the tail end doesn't suddenly rip off for no reason (or wingtip vortices - if that should be an excuse). There isn't an 8 second delay between the pilot's actions and the aircraft's response. The seats are more comfortable on Boeing aircraft.
