I have a bet with a friend. So far, we came up with Shadow Hearts... That's about it. Anything with various weapons (Fable, KOTOR, etc..) doesn't count and it has to be the main character. All input is helpful, even if it's just say "I can't think of any" thanks. help me win 50 bucks

sorry i ruined your bet... but every rule has it's exceptions. funny enough, it appears that more than a third of rpgs falls into the category of not having the main character use a sword.

nes - final fantasy - your main character could be any class, so unless it was a knight, a thief or a red mage, you would not use a sword
snes - illusion of gaia. it's not a sword, it's a baton or something.
nes - star tropics. his main weapon is a yo yo until it becomes a morning star
snes - earthbound. ness' main weapon wasn't a sword!
snes super mario rpg - mario's weapon is not a sword
gba - mario: super star saga (yea, it's an rpg)
DS - mario: partners in time (yes, this is an rpg)
N64 - paper mario
gamecube - paper mario 2
snes - secret of mana. while he CAN use a sword, that is one of eight weapons, and none are specifically for any of the three characters. in fact, all the the seiken densetsu games qualify for this. (final fantasy adventure, secret of mana, sword of mana, legend of mana, children of mana)
playstation - xenogears. fei's weapons are his fists
playstation - chrono cross
gameboy - pokemon

the only game that i have played in which the main chara dosent use a sword would have to be JAK 1 PS2 players know what im talking about the blonde haired dude with that little squirrel thing he never uses a sword as in he uses full melee kung fu attacks thats all i can think of give me the 10 points pls

For a sturdy roleplaying component in a vacationer, i like the hood/gown mixture, it makes the nature look outlandish. Like an intruder. it somewhat is often what a vacationer would look favor to the places he/she is going. A Rogue class is massive, because the mercantile and speech skills enable you to get alongside extra ideal with the human beings you meet and make a extra ideal income to live on. As for the race, i don't think of that somewhat concerns, yet in case you wanna flow with the outsider sorta look like i discussed earlier, darkish Elf will be a sturdy selection.

^^ Haha, if you think Hitman is an RPG, you're sadly mistaken.
No swords in Shadowrun, one of the greatest RPGs on the SNES.
As far as more recent RPGs go, Deus Ex had a knife as a weapon, but guns were the deal of the day there.
