School started a month ago and right now it's just really messed up. People are spreading rumors about my best friend, she's really sad right now and I don't know what to do. my other best friend's crush likes me and I just feel really bad. what to do what to do...?

First of all dont go anywhere near your best friends 'crush'. Friends dont do that and if you think things are bad now, think what would happen if you go there.
As for the rumor issue, you really cannot do much except set people straight if it is brought up in your presense. School kids need someone to talk about and if the friend just hangs in there, they will soon find something else to talk about and it will be some other poor kids turn. Just be there for your friend to talk to and support. Other than that they just have to ride the situation out.
Oh and remember school doesnt last forever But you need it to have a good life afterwards. A well paid job instead of having to work at macdonalds is worth all the teenage trauma.

Ignore the crush and support your best friend. She needs you more than ever right now. To abandon her would be the last straw.
