If you had it for 3 months I suggest that you throw it away and buy a waterproof type since it is past its shelf life.

To remove the smudges around your eyes, put a little moisturiser on the tip of a cotton bud and dab them off.

Just don't apply so much mascara till the individual lashes stick together. Use a lash comb if possible.

If it still sticks, change a mascara brand.

Maybe the mascara you are using now is of not good quality. Why don't you get a better quality one and a waterproof one so it won't smudges too easily?

the best thing u can do is to use a clear mascara after original mascara thickens because it normally dilutes excess yukky leftover mascara and gives amazing definition to ur lashes

even though u aid that youve had it for only a little time, i have to ask. is it more than two months? for that's about the approximate time that mascara expires... if not, then i'll suggest that you try to get a tinier brush and try applying it more evenly... if that doesn't work than maybe the mascara you bought just isn't good...

You're using crap mascara. Try Mary Kay. It's definitely the best mascara.

There isn't much to can do to save it now.
When using mascara, don't 'pump' the wand in and out of the tube to refill it, as this forces air in to it and causes it to dry out and clump up.

What mascara are you using? Great Lash tends to clump really bad, but Lash Expansion is really good.

the reason that that happens is that when you put the brush into the container you are adding air to it so it clumps, instead of just pushing it into the container make circles going in and coming out, then when applying it to your eyelashes dont just go in an upward motion, go side to side in an up wards motion( start outside in while moving upwards) this will help reduce clumps
