Was it a scandal?

i've been in two local papers three times. first time, i was seven years old living in chester, and i entered a balloon race. a few weeks later, i found out that i had won and that my balloon had gone to yugoslavia. that was in 1976. second time, it was in my new home town in somerset and i and several others went to the town hall to meet the mayor and his wfe, have a buffet and drinks to celebrate 50 years of the school crossing patrols and lastly for being voted best lollipop lady of somerset.

Yes, but not a scandal. I had stories in local newspaper when I was P.T.A. President in my children's elementary school. Also, many when I worked in domestic violence. I was even on TV once with our annual Christmas Tree Festival fundraiser and my grand kids thought I was a celebrity. That was a long time ago and brought back some memories. I am now the age when I remember the past better than what I did yesterday. Thanks for the question.

I get mentioned in the local news from time to time - or am seen on TV with flashing lights and yellow tape.
A few times it was a scandal - I was the good guy in the stories though.
There's a couple laws on the books because of me.
And in a former life (my teen years) I was a minor celebrity among a certain musical subculture and had a few write ups - even abroad.

No it wasn`t a scandal. In my teens, I was part of a football team who won the second division title and the under-16`s cup and we got half a page in the sports section of our local paper.

No scandal. One a set of tickets to see a West Ham United game, will be in my local paper either this or next week receiving them.

Have made the national papers several times. Not scandals though. Business articles and interviews.

Yes I have and No neither were a scandal.
The first was when I was 6 in the first grade and I was the first student to get to use the computers that the school had just purchased.
Then when I was 8 my dad and my sister and myself were featured in the paper for my dad being a single father of 2 girls that had won custody in a hearing, he was the first man to do that in our area... blah blah blah...

Yes when I won loads of competitions.I had won countless prizes,the funniest one was a 2 year supply of Aero chocolate.I received 933 bars of it!!!! When it was halloween and all the kids came to the door they all got bars of the chocolate.!!!! We were eating it for months.It has put my kids off chocolate too.They printed my story and my photo.

My 1st grade class made a lego version of our town with 'All roads lead to McDonalds'. It got in the paper, people love that stuff, you could see me in the photos. Hardly scandalous though.

Nothing about me in the newspapers, just my picture on a flyer in the post office.
