If the scratches are not very deep, you can easily remove them by BUFFING, This can be done even at a wristwatch repairs shop. The cost will also be very nominal.

No, you can't remove scratches, since they are caused below the lens surface. However you can remove dirt, grease & smudge by washing gently with simple soap water and rinsing with clean water later on. The lens should not be wiped with cloth or paper. But the wetness should be gently blotted away using a clean lint free cloth. HOWEVER: There is a product made for polishing plastic which removes some of the minor scratches on some lenses. However, if the scratches are through this protective coating or UV layer of protection, the lens cannot be repaired unless recoated or replaced with a new one. Check with the store where you purchased the glasses and see what guarantee or warranty may be in place to assist with the cost of repair or replacement. They would be the ones to ask for specific questions about your situation.

Take them in to an eyeglass store, and they can have them polished or reground for you, to get rid of the scratches... also a good time to have an anti-scratch coat put on them, hehehe.
Good Luck!

I myself suffered the same problem. The only thing I am using if I feel that some scratches is on my eyeglasses, I clean it by rubbing with toothpaste then rinsing and drying it with a clean tissue paper. Try and you see and feel the difference.

Always make sure, whenever, you try to clean your glasses before wearing always sprinkle some droplets of water or ethyl alcohol (available at the opticians store) and then clean it with a lint free cloth. As of now you can get the scratches removed by visiting the optician and asking him to polish it with a scratch resistant solution.
Hope it helps!! :-)

Well, babe... the only answer I can offer is "change the glasses". I had the same problem and asked to clean them, it seems there is no solution to it.
It would be best to pay a bit more for the scratch-proof glasses, and invest in a better quality. don't worry about the cost, its the quality that matters.

I don't think it's possible to get the scratches removed. However, the next time you get glasses I suggest you get the scratch resistant lenses.

Try using some old fashioned tooth paste. just rub alittle on a clean towel place the towel on your leg and rub the lens on the area you put the tooth paste. This mite take awhile but should remove the scratches.
