Men don't have boobs. and they wear ties.

It is a time saver for men, who fashion designers feel aren't coordinated enough to push the elongated side of a button, into a horizontal hole. So they made it easier for us.

it has to do with the design of our hands & how their position is when opening or closing the buttons. the holes make it easier for us to twist the button & release or clip on.
